CXP hydraulic presses

 Hydraulic presses for extrusion of non-ferrous metals (aluminium and copper alloys) in both direct and indirect extrusion process are designed in type line CXP for producing bars, sections and wires (whole pipes and hollow section bars can be produced of suitable alloys and by using special tools only)

Hydraulic presses of type CXP are of a robust horizontal design. They are equipped with moving containers and piercing devices (with the CXT presses only). The prestressed columns of the press build up, together with the cylinder crosshead and the platen, a rigid press frame. The presses are designed with all the equipment necessary for full mechanization and automation of the operation cycle. The moving container is heated by electric heaters and its temperature is controlled automatically.

Remote control of the press operation is designed with a hydraulic-electrical system combined with electronic circuits which are actuated from a control pulpit by means of pushbuttons and other controls. The control system is connected to a control computer which facilitates full automation of the press operation cycle.

The machines are driven directly by high-pressure oil pumps installed in proximity of the press. The drive of low-pressure circuits is arranged above the cylinder crosshead.

Rigid design of the presses based on well proved construction groups, reliable hydraulic, electrical and electronic control elements are decisive for:

  • an integral solution of the production process
  • good surface quality and dimension accuracy of extruded products
  • safe operation and reliable function
  • reduction of auxiliary time values
  • reduction of power consumption and operation staff number
  • the application of computer assuring automated operation cycle contro
